After Ellis Island, we walked to the World Trade Center site. While we didn't have time to see the museums, we did walk around and see the construction that is going on for Tower 1. It will be completed in 2013 (Tower 1) and will be amazing. The plans for the memorial are really great too. Really, I think the whole area is just going to be so awesome when it is completed. It was surreal to think that everything that happened was nearly 9 years ago. How I hope we never see anything like it again. As we walked around the block we saw a few reminders of what happened.

After our sobering visit to the WTC site, we walked a few blocks more to the Brooklyn Bridge. We walked halfway up the bridge to get a view of Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Finally, we headed back to Times Square to check out Toys R Us (and the Ferris Wheel inside!)

Then it was time to drive back to Philly!!
